La Giunta Dipiazza non invita al tavolo le associazioni che hanno raccolto 16700 firme contrarie al progetto

16.700 firme contrarie al progetto della cabinovia Trieste – Porto Vecchio – Carso. Un risultato considerevole quello raggiunto dalle associazioni ambientaliste Fiab Trieste, Legambiente, Cammina Trieste, Zeno e  Tryeste che, nonostante questo, non sono state invitate come relatori al convegno  chiamato “Ascolto della Città” organizzato dal Comune di Trieste per discutere il progetto dell’Ovovia.

“Sarebbe meglio usare il termine propaganda anziché ascolto – dichiara Andrea Wehrenfennig presidente  di Legambiente Trieste – riteniamo molto grave che le organizzazioni della società civile siano state tenute fuori dal tavolo: è stata concessa loro solo la partecipazione tra il pubblico con la possibilità di intervenire solo nella parte conclusiva del dibattito senza poter esporre in modo pieno e completo con numeri, immagini e video le motivazioni della nostra contrarietà al progetto”. 

“Dall’organizzazione dell’evento pare evidente che ci si auspicava partecipassero meno persone possibili – Tiziana Ugo di FIAB Trieste –  due pomeriggi di incontri programmati in orario lavorativo, nella settimana pre-natalizia, con gli inviti inviati la sera di giovedì 9 dicembre e con scadenza delle iscrizioni la mattina di lunedì 13 dicembre. Sembra fatto apposta per poter portare avanti una campagna di propaganda indisturbati dalle voci contrarie, che attendevano invece un reale momento di dibattito e di confronto pubblico.”

Le associazioni si erano già mobilitate nel 2020 contro il progetto dell’ovovia, raccogliendo 4000 firme contrarie all’opera e favorevoli, invece, a un moderno tram. Il numero di firme della petizione è poi esploso con la notizia del finanziamento del progetto, quando il pericolo della sua realizzazione è risultato più concreto per i cittadini. Cittadini che stanno mostrando una netta contrarietà all’opera, come dimostrato dalle firme stesse. La voce della città che resta, come ormai di consueto, ignorata dall’amministrazione pubblica, che con il suo ascolto sordo, privo di contraddittorio, organizza una propaganda scorretta per realizzare il progetto fingendo che non vi siano voci contrarie. 

L’unione fa la forza, giro virtuale fra le  esperienze di reti di associazioni a favore della bici nel mondo… beh, almeno in Europa.
